Privacy Policy of Hanmac Engineering

Hanmac Engineering, in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act, strives to protect the personal information of data subjects and to ensure the prompt and smooth resolution of any related complaints. Accordingly, we hereby establish and disclose the following privacy policy.

  • Purpose of Personal Information Processing
    • Hanmac Engineering processes personal information for the following purposes.The personal information being processed will not be used for purposes other than those stated below. If there is any change to the purpose of use, necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent will be taken in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
      • Identity verification and notification of recruitment decisions via phone or mail
      • Identity verification, issuance of official notices, and securing emergency contact information for various HR-related tasks
  • Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information
    • Hanmac Engineering processes and retains personal information within the period specified by law or agreed upon by the data subject at the time of collection.
    • The processing and retention periods for each type of personal information are as follows:
      • Items retained: Name, phone number, address, etc., as provided in the job application or personnel card
      • Retention period: Job application – Up to 3 months from the date of receipt
        Personnel card – Up to 3 years from the date of resignation
  • Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
    • Hanmac Engineering processes personal information only within the scope stated in Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information), and provides personal information to third parties only in cases where the data subject has given consent or as required by special provisions of law under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
    • Hanmac Engineering provides personal information to third parties as follows:
      • Recipients: Investigative agencies, relevant institutions, and the reported party
      • Purpose of use by recipient: To handle complaints related to personal information violations
      • Items provided: Name, contact information, email
      • Retention and use period by recipient: Until the purpose is fulfilled or as specified by applicable law
  • Entrustment of Personal Information Processing
    • Hanmac Engineering does not currently outsource personal information processing tasks to external parties and handles them internally. If tasks such as recruitment are to be outsourced in the future, the company will announce the details on its website prior to implementation of the updated privacy policy and will obtain consent from the information provider before proceeding.
  • Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them
    • Data subjects may exercise their rights at any time with respect to Hanmac Engineering, including requests to access, correct, delete, or suspend the processing of their personal information.
    • These rights may be exercised via written request, email, or fax in accordance with Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, and hanmac engineering will respond without delay.
    • Rights under Paragraph 1 may also be exercised through a legal representative or authorized agent. In such cases, a power of attorney form pursuant to Annex Form No. 11 of the Notice on the Method of Personal Information Processing (No. 2020-7) must be submitted.
    • Requests for access or suspension of processing may be restricted under Articles 35(4) and 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.
    • Requests for correction or deletion cannot be accepted if the personal information in question is specified for collection under another law.
    • Hanmac Engineering will verify whether the individual making the request is the data subject or a duly authorized representative before processing any request to access, correct, delete, or suspend personal information.
  • Items of Personal Information Processed
    • Hanmac Engineering processes the following types of personal information:
      • Collected items: Name, photo, date of birth, home phone number, home address, mobile number, email, educational background, military service, qualifications, family relationships, veteran status, work experience, etc.
      • Collection methods: Website, written forms, phone, fax, email
  • Destruction of Personal Information
    • Hanmac Engineering promptly destroys personal information when it becomes unnecessary, such as when the retention period has expired or the processing purpose has been achieved.
    • If personal information must continue to be retained by law despite the expiration of the agreed retention period or achievement of its purpose, it will be stored in a separate database (DB) or kept in a different storage location.
    • The procedures and methods for destroying personal information are as follows:
      • Destruction procedure: Hanmac Engineering selects personal information to be destroyed and obtains approval from the Privacy Officer before proceeding.
      • Destruction method: Electronically stored personal information is permanently deleted using irreversible methods, and paper documents are shredded or incinerated.
  • Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information
    • Hanmac Engineering implements the following measures to ensure the security of personal information:
      • Administrative measures: Establishment and implementation of internal management plans, regular employee training
      • Technical measures: Access control for systems, installation of access control software, encryption of unique identifiers, use of security software
      • Physical measures: Access control for computer rooms and data storage facilities
  • Matters Regarding the Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices
    • Hanmac Engineering does not use cookies or similar technologies that store and retrieve users' information.
