Construction New Excellent Technology No. 813 is a method for rapid-construction of PSC box-girder bridges, developed by Jangheon Engineering &
Construction and Halla. The technology—referred to as the Nodular Girder Method—utilizes factory-produced pretensioned concrete web members and
nodular components to enable accelerated construction of PSC box-girder bridges. It was developed to address issues such as construction accuracy
which often occur when assembling precast PSC box-girder segments on-site.
In conventional bridge construction, girders are manufactured in segments, placed individually on piers, and then connected one by one, a process
that commonly leads to construction difficulties, such as managing connections. The newly certified New Excellent Technology improves upon this by
dividing the PSC box-girder components into smaller units, manufacturing them in a factory, and completing the assembly on-site before placing the
fully assembled girder onto the piers. Compared to existing methods, it offers significant advantages in quality control and constructability, and
is expected to be widely applied in bridge construction
