Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment

Refers to assessing the plan’s propriety and the location’s feasibility in the environmental perspective through correspondence verification, and the configuration and analysis of measures against the environment preservation plan when establishing plans effecting the environment in compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act.

Environmental Impact Assessment

Refers to preparing measures eliminating or reducing negative environmental effects via surveying, forecasting and assessing the effects of a project in advance during the approval, licensing or decision making (hereinafter referred to as ‘approvals and etc.’) of detailed design or implementation plans influencing environments in compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act.

Small-scale Environmental Impact Assessment

Refers to small-scale environmental improvement projects excluded as an environmental impact assessment candidate, for which environment preservation measures are prepared through surveying, forecasting and assessing the effects of a project in advance in areas requiring planned development due to concerns for difficult development or in areas requiring environment preservation in compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act.

Re-negotiation, Change agreement (Environment Preservation Method Review)

Refers to when project plans agreed upon in compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act are changed and can be categorized into re-negotiation, which requires the re-implementation of the process adhering to the environmental impact assessment depending on the level of change to the project plan, and change agreement, which integrates the prepared environment preservation method into the project plan.

Post-Environmental Impact Assessment (Agreement Content Management)

Includes all environmental impact assessment target projects where the effects of the project has on surrounding environment are surveyed (during construction and during operation) and the agreed details reflected on the project plan have been implemented once the project has been implemented in compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment Act.

Environmental Impact Assessment

Refers to the regular surveying of environmental impact in compliance with the presidential decree during the construction and the operation of the waste treatment facility exceeding the specifications set forth by the presidential decree in accordance with the Waste Treatment Facility Installation Promotion and Surrounding Area Act.

Environmental Assessment

By implementing the environmental assessment with considerations to environmental impact of urban management plan within the details of the basic survey for drafting the city and town management plan in compliance with the National Land Planning and Utilization Act to evaluate and promote sustainable and clean environment in accordance with the urban management plan. (Not part of the advanced agreement set forth by the Ministry of Environment)
